One integrated solution, not separate modules
Every capability below belongs to the same solution, running on one Acumatica platform and one data model. Chains roll out in phases, without buying and stitching separate software together.
Acumatica F&B Edition by S4
An ERP solution for F&B chains designed by S4 Consulting on Acumatica Cloud ERP: chain operations, finance, Vietnam compliance and leadership data in one system.
Streamlined IT
One cloud platform replaces scattered software, cutting infrastructure, maintenance and the hours spent reconciling data between systems.
Real-time management
POS, inventory, kitchen, banking and e-invoicing connect to Acumatica, so leadership sees food cost, stock and P&L as they happen.
Ready for AI agents
The built-in AI Assistant answers questions on ERP data; the Acumatica MCP Server lets AI agents such as Claude and ChatGPT query data within user permissions.

Per-location P&LMulti-entity consolidated financeBudgeting & cost controlOne system for the organizationSubsidiaries of international groups: two-tier ERP for Vietnam
Many foreign-owned F&B chains in Vietnam report to a parent company running SAP or Oracle while complying with Vietnamese tax and accounting rules. Rolling out the full group ERP for one market is usually slow and costly. A two-tier ERP model meets both needs.
Group-level ERP
- SAP, Oracle or your global ERP
- Group consolidation and governance
- Group accounting standards and chart of accounts
Acumatica Cloud ERP
- IFRS reporting in parallel with VAS
- Multi-currency, reporting to the group
- E-invoicing, Circular 99, VN Payroll
- Bilingual Vietnamese - English interface

Multi-entity and consolidation: the biggest difference from fragmented software
Large F&B chains rarely have one legal entity: a brand-holding company, a central kitchen company, and companies running stores or franchises. With separate accounting software per company, every intercompany transaction is entered twice and consolidated reports are assembled in Excel. Acumatica manages an unlimited number of related companies in one system.
Central kitchen
Produces semi-finished goods and transfers them to stores owned by another company.
Intercompany transaction
The transfer creates the intercompany transaction, with due-to and due-from entries on both sides.
Store operating companies
Food cost, intercompany payables and P&L land in the right entity.
Consolidated reporting
Intercompany transactions eliminated automatically, with drill-down from group to each company.
| Process | Common approach with separate software per company | Acumatica F&B Edition by S4 |
|---|---|---|
| Legal entities | One database per company; a new company means another system | Unlimited related companies in one system, sharing chart of accounts, periods and currencies where needed |
| Intercompany transactions | Entered twice in two companies, intercompany balances matched at month-end | Due-to and due-from entries created automatically; a purchase order in one company can create a sales order in another |
| Transfers between entities | Manual issue notes, receipts and internal invoices | Transfers between warehouses of different companies generate intercompany transactions, keeping each company’s reports accurate |
| Centralized purchasing and payments | Each company buys and pays on its own | One company buys or pays on behalf of others while costs and profit stay with the originating company; shared costs allocated by rules |
| Consolidated reporting | Export each company to Excel, merge and eliminate by hand | Consolidated statements with automatic intercompany elimination and drill-down from group to company |
| Multi-currency | Manual conversion when reporting to a foreign parent | Exchange rates and automatic currency conversion with consistent reporting across entities |
| Control | Permissions per database | Permissions by company and branch; period close per company; audit trails |
Multi-entity capabilities as described by Acumatica: Acumatica Inter-Company Accounting. The “common approach” column describes the situation where each entity runs its own accounting software.

Why choose Acumatica F&B Edition by S4
Three reasons F&B chain leadership weigh when investing in a management system for the next stage of growth.
Lower total cost of ownership
Acumatica charges by resources used and transaction volume, not by the number of accounts. Under the subscription model S4 offers in Vietnam, store managers, storekeepers, head chefs and accountants all use the system without license cost rising per person.
- Unlimited users
- One platform instead of scattered software
- No servers to buy or run
- One contract for licensing, rollout and localization
True Cloud platform
Acumatica is built for the cloud and runs in the browser and on mobile. Two major releases a year keep it current; customizations sit outside the core code, so they survive upgrades.
- Two major releases a year
- You own your data, with open APIs
- Public or private cloud, and you can switch
- Built-in AI Assistant, MCP Server for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini
Deep F&B chain solution
S4 packages Acumatica as a dedicated F&B chain solution: recipes, inventory and the central kitchen through per-store P&L, franchise accounting and Vietnam compliance, all on one database.
- Recipes with automatic deduction from POS sales
- Central kitchen MRP, multi-UOM barcode counts
- Per-store P&L, multi-entity, franchise accounting
- Circular 99, e-invoicing, VN Payroll, bilingual
Every component in one solution package
Acumatica F&B Edition by S4 combines the Acumatica core ERP, point-of-sale applications, an integration platform, the Vietnam localization package and a data and AI layer. All of it sits under one contract, one rollout roadmap and one accountable partner.
Acumatica Cloud ERP
One platform for every growth model
F&B groups often run several models at once. The ERP structure should reflect how the chain owns, manages and measures each location from day one.

Stores operated by the company
- Each store is a P&L unit
- Recipes, prices and permissions by store
- Budgets and actuals by region

A network of franchisees
- Supply franchisees from the central kitchen
- Track receivables and franchise fees by contract
- Standard recipes and processes across the network

Groups with several companies and brands
- Reporting by brand, channel and entity
- Intercompany transactions posted on both sides
- Group-level consolidated reporting

What leadership asks before investing
S4 presents answers specific to your chain in the current-state assessment. These are the general principles.
How is Acumatica priced?
Acumatica is priced on resources used and transaction volume, not on user count. S4 estimates total cost of ownership (TCO) based on your scale and roadmap.
How long does implementation take?
In phases: a pilot group of stores first, then scale. An Nhien Cafe went live in about 3 months; the roadmap for a large chain is set after the assessment.
Is a mass store rollout risky?
Risk is managed with a standard store configuration template, pilot stores and a wave-based cutover plan instead of switching the whole chain at once.
Can historical data be migrated?
Master data, balances and required history are migrated within the agreed scope. BLD Brands, for example, converted 10 years of general ledger data when moving to Acumatica.
How are security and data handled?
Role-based permissions, audit trails and multi-level approvals. S4 provides details on cloud infrastructure and security policies during the assessment.
Who supports us after go-live?
The S4 Customer Success team. An Nhien Cafe received 9 months of operational support from S4 before project acceptance.
