Vietnam compliance

Vietnamese accounting standards are no longer a differentiator

Many companies choose local software for peace of mind on accounting and tax. With S4 localization, Acumatica meets these requirements in full, so the real question becomes which system helps leadership run the chain better.

A fair assessment

SAP Business One strengths, Acumatica advantages

SAP Business One strengths

  • The SAP brand and a global partner network, a fit when the group already runs SAP (SAP).
  • A choice of SAP HANA or Microsoft SQL Server, on premise or cloud through partners.
  • An Intercompany Integration solution to sync documents between companies (SAP).

When Acumatica fits better

  • Several entities or a store network managed in one environment, not several databases.
  • Many users in stores, warehouses and kitchens without buying named-user licenses.
  • F&B Edition: recipes, POS-driven deduction, central kitchen, mobile WMS.
  • A parent on another system needing a neutral tier-two ERP with open connectivity.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If the group runs SAP S/4HANA, must the subsidiary use SAP Business One?
No. A two-tier ERP model lets subsidiaries use a different ERP and feed data to the group system. Acumatica is often chosen at tier two for fast rollout and open connectivity.
How does licensing differ?
SAP Business One licenses named users. Acumatica charges by transaction volume and resources, so extending access to store managers, storekeepers and chefs does not raise costs per account.
Does Acumatica report IFRS to the parent?
Yes. Acumatica supports multi-standard reporting, and S4 configures IFRS alongside VAS for the parent and Vietnamese authorities.
Is S4 neutral?
S4 Consulting is an Acumatica partner. SAP Business One information comes from public SAP and partner materials as of October 2026.
